All Thompson Health Care staff share a desire not to merely meet
industry standards, but to excel and set standards of our own. Our
dedicated Directors of Nursing and experienced Registered Nurses ensure
residents receive the best professional nursing and personal care,
24 hours a day. We carefully evaluate, and regularly reassess, each resident's needs and preferences in collaboration with family members and health professionals. Specially-trained staff offer diversional therapy (seven days a week), speech therapy, physiotherapy, massage and other specialist care services if needed. Every staff member, from kitchen and cleaning staff, to our gardeners and maintenance team, is committed to creating a caring, safe and supportive environment for our residents, their families and friends. |

The cuisine served at each of Thompson Health Care's homes is worthy
of a quality hotel. All meals are prepared on the premises under the
direction of our chefs. Fresh seasonal produce forms the basis of multi-choice menus. Quality, freshness, variety and choice are paramount. Fresh fruit is always available, and morning tea, afternoon tea and late snacks are provided in addition to main meals. Special dietary requirements are catered for and residents' preferences are always considered. |

facility private vehicles are available to provide transport to selected
functions, regular shopping expeditions and organised day trips to
local scenic spots and places of interest. Our new Mercedes buses offer maximum comfort for all residents and can accommodate two wheelchair-bound residents. Resident activities and hobbies are encouraged and special functions are organised regularly. Formal and informal lounge areas at each home provide options for residents who wish to read or relax in private and for those who wish to socialise with other residents. A large print library and large-screen television and video are available to all. Residents are encouraged to entertain family and friends. Lounge and dining areas are available for private use, and catering can be arranged for special occasions. Each of Thompson Health Care's nursing homes has a beauty salon, with hairdressers and podiatrists to cater for residents' grooming needs. | |
