Thompson Health Care - A Family Company
The reason our residences immediately "feel
like home" is because Thompson Health Care is a family company, not
a corporation.
When Faith and Wal Thompson established the first nursing home in
1965, their goal was to create a new standard of excellence in aged
care accommodation and resident care. That commitment to excellence
is now maintained by three generations of Thompsons.
Doug Thompson has managed the group for more than 25 years, maintaining
and enhancing this reputation for excellence.
Faith continues to oversee resident care and with more than 60 years'
experience and the wisdom of age can now see things from the resident's
point of view.
Doug's three daughters have each continued the family tradition of
care, contributing their individual professional skills.
Sonia, a Registered Nurse, is Thompson Health Care's Quality Manager,
ensuring the homes exceed the requirements of accreditation and continue
to offer the highest standards of care.
Deborah is Human Resources Manager providing leadership and management
for our staff of 700 and as a Clinical Psychologist is available for
counselling to residents, their families and members of staff.
Kate our Life Style & Therapy Manager is a qualified aromatherapist
who is closely involved with resident care, co-ordinating aromatherapy
massage and resident's recreational activities. Her consideration
and hands on approach greatly enhances the daily lives of residents
and staff. |
